Supervisor is not correct

The FAA implemented a new functionality in the HCM System called Employee File on August 14, 2020. Employee File will provide a new process for updating the Manager/Employee relationship in the HCM (which will update the relationship in both eLMS and PMAS). Below are links to job aids that the current Manager can follow to assign the employee to a new Manager or to update Matrix Manager/Alternate Supervisor.

The course isn’t launching

Please only use Internet Explorer (IE) to take eLMS courses (unless instructed otherwise) and ensure that your zoom is set to 100%. If you have trouble while using IE, then this is likely a desktop configuration issue.

First try clearing your cache to see if that helps.

HOW TO CLEAR CACHE in IE11:
1. In the upper right corner, click the small gear icon (to the right of the star icon) and choose Internet Options
2. On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
3. Un-check the Preserve Favorites website data box.
4. Check the Temporary Internet files and Cookies boxes.
5. The rest can be left unchecked.
6. Click Delete.
7. Click Ok.
8. Restart Internet Explorer

* If clearing your cache does not help, please contact the FAA My IT Help Desk for resolution. They will be able to compare your current desktop configuration to what is required to run eLMS properly.

Adobe Flash Courses

FAA has contracted with HARMAN to extend Flash Player on FAA machines temporarily. Courses that still contain Flash will run on FAA computers if they have the Adobe Flash Player by HARMAN installed.

Why can’t I find an item when I search in eLMS?

There is a known course catalog Search function bug in eLMS.  This bug prevents accurate search results when the search criteria includes parentheses around the Item ID, and/or the full Item Title is entered, and then the item is chosen from the drop down box when it appears.

The work around is to use ONLY the Item ID numbers in the search field and then click the Search icon or Go button.  At that point, if the item is active and/or available for self-assignment, it will appear on the screen and contain the normal assignment options.
